I save copies of all the letters I send out on my c drive. Besides doing a tape back-up, what are the diff ways I can ensure that if my pc ever crashes that all my data is saved somewhere? anyone have a good place at good prices for this? thanks

flashdrives are cheap and easy.

USB Harddrives are cheap and easy.

I sometimes will back up my files to my ftp on my website.

Try Windows Live Mesh (google it, but its free).
It replicates data across multiple computers and/or online.

Try a Windows Home Server. Automatically backsup your computers nightly.

If you are a nerd, you can use something like SVN (subversion), which is a version control system (again, free, except you need storage) to keep quotes and keep versions of quotes. SVN is usually used by software engineers to develop code, but it does work well for this, as well as keeping your client files safe and secure.

buy a external hard drive, back up your whole system. It will run you about $100 but will be worth it because if your internal hard drive crashes, you will be glad you had it.

I keep my flash drive in my wallet

hahahaha....thats good.....but then again if you are mugged.....actually found a flash in my back yard once after a party.......had to plug it in to see who it was...he had all his pay check stubs on it....gave it back and told him he was getting a great deal on his group med.........

For a backup solution to be viable, and useful if the worst happens, you really need a copy off-site!

Even if you make backup DVDs once a month and snailmail then to a family member or just take them home is better than leaving all your data in one place.

Drobo is a storage solution with redundancy.

Carbonite is a service that will continuously backup your internal hard drive's data.
