Designing Brochures

We always do our own design....

Below is the latest prospecting Brochure for our Heritage Donations Program for Charitable Life Insurance Giving.

I don't know about how this will get critiqued, but it does a bang up job recruiting churches for our program.

It is done with a program called Adobe Illustrator.... A Vector Graphics program that has been very good for our use....

If you use a commercial printer like www.gotprint.net than you can down load a template file as a guide to what you want to creat.... Very affordable option. This brochure only costs $150/1000 delivered.

Here's a brochure that I just "threw together" today using Microsoft Publisher:

Both of the above are very good examples. Just don't make the mistake we've all seen on some PowerPoint slides where the "author" attempts to put everything onto one slide, and it ends up so small as to be illegible. Same thing with marketing pieces. You don't have to tell the whole story in detail, you just need to create enough interest to get people to call you or come to your office for more information.

As for printing costs, also take a look at Vistaprint.com. I recently had 250 full color brochures done for about $40 with some discounts available. They've done a very good job for me with my Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop designs. Just make sure you use their templates, or your print job may not come out right.

In short... 'milk before meat' is a great rule to follow in marketing messages. :)

You can create marketing pieces in Microsoft Publisher and upload those files to VistaPrint. Just select the "upload your own design" option. There's usually an upcharge for it, but I find it's a better way to use the marketing messages that I personally create.

Vista is way to expensive and cookie cutter. I have been using a guy for years and he does excellent work. jcimedia.com his contact info is on the main page. Good Guy
