No rating, but yes they are good. Primary focus for years was preneed and running funeral homes and cemetaries in Utah and beyond.

So what if the client asks whats there rating? It doesn't sound good to have no am best rating? Why do they have no rating?

Have you ever had a client ask that? I've not.

I used to be a stickler about ratings. travis finally convinced me otherwise. In the FE arena anyway.

Also, I've seen these companies cut their FE business throats and the agent's throats in order to keep an A rating for their other business interest.

It seems hard for an FE focused company to have an A rating. I have learned to trade that rating for the FE focus.

All things being equal I would still prefer the better rating but all things are not equal. Took me a while to learn that.

You know I never thought about it like that. These are little 5-15k policies with really no cash values to speak of thus if a company goes under the state will pay all claims if they can't find a company to take the policies over so the claim will be paid and that's all that matters. Now if you're young and have a whole life policy you better know the company you're with.

Just an FYI, that is on policies not certificates. Now is a A- rated Fraternal safer than a non rated insurance company? Different argument.

If you really cared about your clients you'd only sell them Lincoln Heritage. I heard from someone on the forum they will be one of the few FE carriers in just the next couple of years.
