I would like to reserve a domain name for the future, after I get my business up a running smoothly with a steady stream of income.

I have come up with a couple of domains that are available but they are quite long( 30 letters not including http:// or .com), however they are very easy to spell. They actually make me sound much larger than I really am at this point, which is the effect I am going for.

I would love to hear some feedback from thos of you that have successful sites and see what your opinions are. Is there a need to look for trademarks, etc.

You can hold the names for extremely cheap prices. So stop thinking about it and reserve them. If you don't get around to using them, don't renew at the end of the year and everyone else who thought of your 30+ letter name will fight for it.

Namecheap.com - Cheap domain name registration, renewal and transfers - Free SSL Certificates - Web Hosting - Free URL Forwarding, e-mail forwarding and DNS services are included with our cheap domain names registration service ?

If you searched for available names on godaddy.com and didnt buy them - they usually get gobbled up in 48 hrs or less. I think they sell those searches to bandits!!! ...

I have heard its rather helpful to have your long tail keyword phrase you want to target - to be the or IN your URL / Address.

You're getting the cart in front of the horse.

After you get a steady stream of income, worry about it. Until then, all of your energy needs to be focused in the right direction.

Otherwise, it's moot.

Have the name be descriptive of what you do if possible but more important make easy to remember , short and hard to missspell/understand when you verbaly give it to someone. And also use .com because thats what people instinctively want to use when typing a URL

something like insuranceguy.com I think that one's taking though but insurancestud.com is still available. lol

How about northamericaninsuranceservices.com ?:twitchy:

Well that is pretty long, but easier to spell then something like nainsurancesvcs.com. When in doubt I'd go with easiest to spell.
