Ya a lot of domain registration companies will watch for good domain inquiries and snatch them up to resell. Never had too much problem with godaddy though.

I look at domains like an address. If people know the address, they just type it in. They get it from biz cards, adverts, postcards, WOM, vehicle vinyl, and others.
Keyword rich names are good for SEO, but richardjoneshealthinsuranceagency.com is not something that will help you at all with SEO or with customers typing in. Do something basic, then use the different pages as keyword rich anchors. ie: bcsagency.com/phoenix-health-insurance-quote.php
That will help you with google. Not sure if that is what the question was, but that's what I have always done with SEO and domain names.
