I don't see Equitable being mentioned often in this Forum and wanted to ask if anyone here is using them to any degree.

Specifically, are they a good company to have in your toolbox and is their TeleApp process a good one? Strengths and weaknesses would be good info too if anyone is kind enough to offer.

I don't plan on this being a "go-to" Company----perhaps use for those who want to apply and get an immediate decision over the phone, along with using them in other States I'm licensed in (over the phone).

Thanks and if anyone wishes to PM me, I greatly appreciate it.

I like them for MedSups. Haven't used their FE at all. Seems like it's OK though.

As far as a go to company, they're competitive but always a little higher. They don't like smokers. I haven't used them for FE yet, but they seem to be more liberal on their underwriting for some conditions.

I've used the telesales for their Medicare Supplement, and it went very smooth. The only negative is they have to have a replacement form signed and sent in. Not sure if it's that way on FE.

I really like dealing with them, and am thinking about using them more. They're agent friendly.

If you take to time to prequalify your clients before making the POS call, you will like dealing with them. The POS is a snap, you get a policy number at the end and do not have to send them a paper app. Rates are fair unless it is a client that smokes.. Super nice people in the HO.

not sure if its true but I have heard they are sticklers for having the beneficiaries social security number on the app which can be near impossible sometimes.

If I remember correctly Equitable has a funky commission schedule. I think they charge backyour entire comp if they cancel in the first three months

Med supp process was great. FE was good too. For FE telesales for me it's Americo, LBL, Foresters, Baltimore, Equitable, Standard life.

In that order for me too.
