As life insurance agents, we understand the benefits of not just life insurance, but also IUL's. The issue I come across is the paradigm shift prospects must experience to see the value of IUL's as retirement planning products. Can anyone direct me to client success stories/cases, as well as client failure stories/cases?

Are you trying to shift their paradigm from using more traditional retirement planning products such as their 401k, IRA and Roth IRAs?

If so, my guess is the prospects are seeing through your advice as being conatrary to almost everything being said by everyone else & possibly perceiving you as being a salesperson trying to discourage what they are doing so that you can get paid

No... your issue is that you aren't trained.

This depends on the prospect... it sounds like that you're referring to someone who needs to be convinced about IUL .. and that's a long sales process that is probably not worth it in the long run.
