Anyone give advertising on Facebook a shot yet? Just wondering and I'm thinking about looking into it. I'm talking about paying for ads, not spamming people about your website.

Waste of time. People get on Facebook to share their entire lives with others they haven't seen in 20 years, not to buy insurance.

We've had this talk and you brought up some excellent points but there are obviously types of products/services that will do better than others on FB.

My FB campaign was a total waste while my Google campaign does just fine.

Mt teeth whitening biz is kicking it on FB..........

I don't mind getting facebook updates from some businesses like bars and restaurant...but I immediately hide or unfriend obnoxious realtors and professionals that try to use social marketing as a way to politely spam you. I don't think it is an effective mode of communication for insurance sales.

If you are looking to do online advertising you would be better off with Google where you can pick your keywords so at least the people searched for what you are advertising.
