FL: just got 2 20. Any advice or contacts to get appointed? no luck so far

long story short:

got 2 20 last month. want to open agency because i have a market of constant customers. the auto insurers i wanted have stated they need agency to be open for 2 years or they arent appointing anyone at the moment. cant get agency license without getting appointed. im mainly interested in auto but will accept homes because im desperate.

do i HAVE to work for someone elses agency prior?

I just bought an agency in Florida that I need help expanding. We are doing commercial (personal lines are dead in FL essentially). If you want to work for us I would give you equity if you produced enough. Having partners is better than going it alone.
