GA New Citizenship Affidavit Form

You now have to fill out a The Citizenship Affidavit Form when you renew your license in the state of GA.

Everywhere I go I have to prove that I was born here in the states.

When I renew my drivers Lic. I had to show them my birth cert again along with many other things.

Now, I must fill out Citizenship Affidavit and Verifiable Identification Document Instructions for Agents this extra form now when I renew my ins license.

Wow. You know, it occurs to me that I, as a legal permanent resident, would actually have an easier time proving that I'm allowed to be here than someone who is a natural born citizen since I have all the required documentation. Also, I'm used to having to produce this kind of documentation. This must be really annoying for people born here who shouldn't have to.

Do you have to do this EVERY time you renew or are they smart enough to figure out that if you prove it once you shouldn't have to prove it again?

Nice, now the license is two years, but costs four times as much. I guess the legislators took math at UGA.

First we have to get through Florida before worrying about Georgia. Hopefully Dooley finally has the team on the right track.

Crap...I guess Maine is awesome as my license doesn't expire and no renewal fees (The state makes plenty on the appointment fees) I just have to do my 24hrs or CE every two years and that is down from 30hrs every two when I first got licensed.
