A question for you pro car insurance gurus...

is there a general aggregate on liability limits with car insurance?

Or its just max per 1 accident but unlimited accidents?

It can happen both ways.

Majority of personal lines policies are simply a limit per accident, no limit on accidents, except if you have to many high $$$ accidents, there is probably something else going on.

These may (likely will?) lead to non-renewal.

Some personal lines policies do have a cap overall, but on the auto policy, this is pretty rare. You are more likely to run into this if you also have an umbrella.

On commercial auto policies, it is more common to have a total cap on liability. This is important to keep in mind when writing commercial auto with a fleet of cars and multiple drivers.
