Hello! Long-time Broker Becoming a Consultant

Hello from California!
I've been a (mostly) P&C broker (some H&W/Benefits) for a long time. I'm researching how to become an insurance consultant.
I'd really appreciate any advice, ideas, resources , etc that you would share with me , please?

Hell, an hourly rate to consult could be enticing in this market.

I would reach out to a few Insurance Consultants that you know of and do some informational discussions with them. Ideally you would get a chance to work with one of them, perhaps on an hourly or contract basis. Insurance Consultants are few and far between. I would imagine that most of them are former commercial brokers that have turned the other cheeck into a new job.
