AMS360
APPLIED epic
nexsure
quomation

we are mostly commercial,
looking for the software that will be able to customize features specially for us

any help will be very appreciated

Don't choose EPIC. Applied Systems is a VERY good company. They make another product called VISION - This system is 10yrs ahead of EPIC, even though it came 15yrs BEFORE EPIC. This system allows ALOT more freedom, AND it stores MUCH more information in an account. An example is once you add a vehicle, it is always in the clients data of vehicles. If you have to delete it out (off the road for winter, etc. what ever.) and then have to add it on again. In VISION on the auto policy you just click "Add a vehicle" and there is a list of vehicles that have even been added to this policy. In EPIC, there is no historical auto list saved. You have to enter the information back in from scratch. Or there is always the option to "Export to a spreadsheet, check the spreadsheet to make sure nothing else has been changed, and then import the spreadsheet and check the detail in EPIC to make sure it all carried over correctly. Doing reports, VISION has a system that you select the information you want on the report, and then click print. Whalaa, the report prints out. In EPIC, you not only have to select the information that you want to show on the report, you then have to go to the "Report Layout" screen, and literally position every data block on the report. Litterally, where on the page it will print. The dog and phony show that EPIC does is just wonderful. Their "on site training" is more sales pitch than anything else, showing what EPIC does, not how to do it. Most of it WAY more arduous than VISION. Tasks that used to take 2 mins, now take hours.
AND they use the ACORD standards for detail input. and ACORD for some reason uses International Architect's Building Code instead of Insurance Services Office. Many completion boxes (i.e. "Building, Content, BI, Etc) can ONOY have numbers in them. You can't put LETTERs in the boxes (for example, you cant "Included" in the value box anymore.
Instead of Construction Grades 1(Frame), 2(Joist Mas), 3(Non-Comb), 4(Mas N-C, 5(Fire Res), 6(Mod Fire Res) you get F(Frame), M(Joist Mas), 1(non-comb)2(Fire Res), 3M(Fire Resist Mas), etc. It is obviously a system designed by someone who things stupid issues are better than workability. The system is designed NOT to be user friendly, but to be a finger pointer for E&O cases, as to who is to blame for the mistake. It you're that kind of boss or have that kind of Lawyer (and can't see it and don't fire them) I'm sorry for you.

I have heard positive comments about partner XE but I have not used it. As far as AMS vs Applied. I would lean toward AMS. Also check out QQ Solutions which is now owned by AMS/Vertafore. Hawksoft is another good choice.

So many options. Do your homework. Quomation really isn't too bad for a smaller agency but I would not depend on it for a larger operation.

We are 100 dollars cheaper per user per month then any of the bigger agency management system. However, we do everything they do and much more for the back end of your company

100 dollars per user per month. (Depending on how many users ) more users the less it is. flat rate and no hidden fees. AMS you have download fees , online subscription service fees.

Which system (AMS360?) has that function that when you finish sending an email it will force you to enter it in the log- which step has been taken?

I used to be on multiple different systems, I switched to AgencyIntel because of its features and security. A lot of systems out there are not HIPPA compliant. Works great IMO.

I used to be on multiple different systems, I switched to AgencyIntel because of its features and security. A lot of systems out there are not HIPPA compliant. Works great IMO.
