We have just opened a homeowners division to our agency. We brought in a guy who is working mostly from home but has had past experience with various P&C carriers. We have the ability to offer 2 homeowners carriers thus far. I have no knowledge of this side of the business so I need some help understanding the process from an outsider. I have developed this agent 80+ leads over the past 2 weeks but I am not seeing many sales. In addition to these internet leads, he has been passed many referrals. How long is the process of obtaining a quote? Can someone please explain the steps so I can better understand how long it takes to quote and then sell. My agency is in Florida. Thanks.
 
He should be converting 25-30% of those leads,thats the norm.If he is not converting any,have someone make a courtesy call back and ask why they are not buying.If they are l+h send them to me and I will call them and get a resolution as to why they are not responsive.Could be the quality of leads,could be the person asking the questions.
