You are asking this after the fact? Trusting soul aren't you! Ofcourse no one at an insurance agency ever lied to anyone!

DR PHIL: How is that working for you?

If you have not recieved a dime, then it is not working for you. You need to do something different.

Did I hear you say you sold 7 policies and didnt make a dime..HMM..

So, you've been working captive for two months and haven't been paid a penny? Are you saying they aren't paying you a salary? Have you asked the agency owner/manager why you haven't been paid anything? That would be a good place to start.

I am selling P&C insurance.what should I do?

yes I did I came in the door with people from my mortgage background...Yes its a captive and I understood that it was commission based I was told it was once a month I would get paid.So what should I expect?I thought most captives pay 10% of premium am i right?I am VERY new and willing to put forth the effort.Anyone on here offers training?and THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP EVERYONE!

What has the agency owner/manager said about your commissions?

I'm not familiar with P&C commissions, but with other commissions, it can be a month after the policy is issued before you see any commissions. Sometimes longer. For example, if I had a policy issued tomorrow with say BCBS for health insurance with an April 1st effective date, it would be the first week in May before I saw the commissions on it.

Again, I'd be asking the agency owner/manager since they can give you the most insight on your specific situation.

What was the deal going in?
What has the owner said about your money?
Where are you getting the clients from?
Are you doing other duties in the office?

Rememmber you asked for help. So you need to have a thick skin. The info so far sounds like you walked in and dropped your pants. You were in the Mortgage business. Should have known, that you need to know.
