I was looking over the Humana brochure on the humana walmart PDP. It basically says that these two companies have partnered together and if you have the Humana PDP plan you can get a 30 day supply for $2 instead of $4 using the walmart $ 4 program.

I can't seem to find where it says it's subject to the 310 deductible to get the 2 copay. Does anyone know if they have to meet the 310 deductible and then they'd get the 2 copay?

Its on the Brochure inside on the left They are subject to $310 deductible then can get Tier 1 Drugs from Preferred Pharmacies ie Walmart, Sams Clubs etc for $2 Non-Preferred Pharmacies for $10 and through Rightsource Mail order for $0.

I think the AARP $27.XX with no deductible will be a better choice....however the proof is in the pudding in this case the formulary.

Quoted for truth!
The Humana WalMart plan is perfect for someone not taking an Rx's, wanting to avoid the LEP, or, if all they take are generics.
I personally wouldn't want to be on the Humana formulary if I came down with a serious illness.

I can't speak for the past couple of years since I haven't bothered writing Part D, but in the past Humana had one of the best formularies.

Come to think of it, you may be correct. I have helped people by going to Medicare.gov and entering their drugs. I don't think Humama has been the plan of choice, certainly not in 2010.

Give it a couple more years and we won't have to bother with this as the feds will take over all enrollments.

When the Part D cards were first introduced, Humana had one of, if not the strongest formulary. Humana lost their a$$ on the "Complete Plan" (Brand during the donut hole). Starting on 1.01.09, their formulary was deluted.
Like I said, if you are look'in to just avoid the LEP, buy it.

I just kinda figured the $14.80 pt D card was a teaser to get people over to talk to one of the in store agents to bait and switch to a PPO mapd.....

....coinsurance on those brand name drugs is a real zinger on that plan......

Could be, but I'm in a Non-MA state...matter of fact..I called the *** that talked me into manning a booth and told him to find someone else...I'm going to do something more productive like sit at home and watch paint dry :) Actually I'm the *** for falling for this crap...I've been saying I didn't want to deal with Part D and this guy made it sound like a good opportunity...

It' s bad enough having to go to WalMart, let alone having to be stuck there for several hours. All I would do would be to run into Rick's client base.:D
Humana doesn't offer a MA in my county anymore. I keep getting emails from Humana letting me know what an opportunity it is to work a booth in WalMart. And sell $25 PDP's???

They're suggesting to use the booth as a way to generate leads for MA sales. Actually the advise to agents was to not take applications at the booth or do presentations, because if a shopper walked up in the middle they could claim compliance violation because they didn't get a full presentation.

Exactly...This is how it was pitched to me...I was even recommended to do the MA training....Then I was told to do the PDP only training as my state was a Non-MA state but we could still sell their overpriced Med Supps....I learned what I should have known all along...Had a woman come up and ask me the first real question...She had Secure Horizons and had been termed...signed an SOA and called to confirm the appointment, her agent had gotten back to her by that point....So really the "Market" are those that don't use an agent...but if they don't use an agent what the "F" an I doing at walmart...let me out....

I was reading a compliance alert the other day..."If you determin someone is a secret shopper you can not decline to provide them a presentation"

Hell yes you can, I will gladly answer any section a violation on that one...
