Newbie here, trying to figure out why I can't find something I posted. I usually view in hybrid mode - and the thread map thingie (or whatever it's called) shows "additional replies below this depth" or something like that. Is there a CP setting I have to reset? Should I not "reply", but instead post a new comment?

Thanks in advance for advice.

No, I replied to somebody in the other thread. In General Discussion... The guy earning commissions & collecting unemployment.

If you are trying to post something or respond to something and it just is not posting, try this trick.

Click on " Go Advance" or "Preview Post and then submit it.

If it is locking up and not working, just click on go advance, and you won't even have to retype it.

I use this trick a lot if the system locks up.

I bet you used a percent symbol, which most of the time, will lock up the system.

No, no strange symbols. That's what I can't figure out. I quoted a previous post, and replied w/ text.

Here's where it gets weird. On the front pages, it showed me as having posted the latest reply. But I can't find it.

I'd post a link to the thread, but I can't do that in a msg., apparently.

I had to switch my Display Mode to "Linear".

"Hybrid" hides things, apparently.

So it's the Straight and Narrow for me, from now on!

You can pose your problem to Valdet. He is the webmaster and is located in Kosovo, so you have to take the time difference into account when waiting for a reply. He is great about getting back to posters and is cjock full of information. Hope this helps.

Another idea...Sometimes posts get embedded in the code matrix. When that happens, you need to reconfigure your CP. so that the linear version is showing, not the older version.

After a few minutes, you'll notice a message that tells you to log on with the security password and delete the system error code that is now on every page.

After that...well...forget it. I just realized there are 16 more steps, so skip it.
