Jon Jones Vs Daniel Cormier

This is the first PPV that I plan on buying since Andy snapped in leg in two. I am always more interested in grudge matches.

Unfortunately I buy multiple PPV's each year. I won't get the one this month, but will in September. I love MMA. As I look back over this year, I have gotten UFC 171, 172, 173 & 175. I won't get 177 because the only fight I want to see is Dillishaw vs Barao, but I'm not going to pay $55 to see 1 fight. 178 is going to be a good card. Donald Cerrone always puts on a good show. Dominick Cruz is finally fighting again and we get to see McGregor and Poirier go at it. Not to mention JJ and DC.

Speaking of Anderson Silva, what do you think about he and Diaz fighting? Diaz is a good fighter, but I just can't see him beating Silva. I was a Silva fan until he fought Damian Maia. He acted like an *** in that fight. From that point on I wanted someone to knock him out. Then came Chris Weidman who did just that. But that leg break was nasty. Not the way I wanted that fight to end.

I slowed down on PPV's about the time that the UFC and FOX cut their deal, it seems like most everyone that is not holding a belt can be seen on a free fight, and there aren't many title fights because the champs are always injured.

I like both fighters, but I am picking Silva over Diaz. They are both coming off of long layoffs, Silva is fighting because he wants/needs to, Diaz needs a paycheck.

For a while the PPV's sucked after the Fox deal. They are starting to get better. Several of the Fox cards have been boring. However, this last one with Lawler vs Brown was a pretty good card.

Diaz is definitely doing it for the money. He's been very clear that he only wants big money fights. He actually said in an interview that he doesn't like to fight. And he and his brother have well documented money issues. Let's hope he goes out there to try and win though. I don't want to see a fight where he's just going through the motions to collect a pay check.

Sad, sad day. The fight has been postponed until January. Jones has a torn meniscus and a sprained ankle. Man I was looking forward to this fight next month.
