Just Failed the Series 65

I just failed the Series 65 exam by one question! 71%. 93 out of 130. I feel completely deflated, but I know in this industry you need to be able to get back up, not dwell on failings, and get back at it.

I've used Kaplan twice now. Someone has recommended Test Teachers Online instead of Kaplan. Does anyone else have experience with either?

If you don't have the book maybe you should try the book and video. The IMO I am with uses test teachers among others that being said I have not heard anything negative about TT.. Give them a call and see what they say about passing rates of people using them.

Do the test results give you a breakdown of how you did in each area of the test? If so I would simply concentrate on a few weak areas and retest. Getting one more right shouldn't be that hard.

Keep your chin up!

Take a couple weeks to review the materials again and if you still feel unprepared, take a classroom course and then try again.

You can do it!

Keep at it. I used Kaplan for the series 6 and 63, The 65 is supposed to be harder so I feel for you.
I used the Kaplan videos and book and took the online practice exams. I counted and I took 26 practice exams for the series 6 and I think that helped me pass the first time. No way I would want to take the 65 at least for a while. Good luck

How quickly did you finish the test? Often times with testing like this it is reading too quickly or talking yourself out of your first answer that do you in. There usually is a simple word that flips a correct statement into a wrong one. If you can find the area that you missed, study it and get back at it.

cheers.

It is definitely about understanding the question. Take a break, jump back in a week or two before you can retest (30 days).

I had a CD full of practice tests. I took them until I consistently scored an 85% or above. I walked in and passed with plenty of cushion.
