Lead Concepts vs Kramer Direct

Well, I am trying to get a DM campaign off the ground and my contact at Lead Concepts has turned into a flake: slow or no response, begging him to take my money and all I hear is crickets. Maybe he is that busy, but in my opinion there is no excuse not to send off a quick email or text saying he got my email and is working on it.

I like the mailer they offer and I'm fine with the price even though they are bit more expensive than I've paid elsewhere.

So here is the question: Any of you using lead concepts on a regular basis who has an account manager/salesperson you are happy with? If so, post a name here so I can get someone who wants to earn some business. I hate chasing prospects. I hate chasing vendors even more.

The first 10 years in my Medicare business I used them for all of my direct mail. I dealt mostly with Chris Weir. I never had any problems with them and got great returns. They used a direct mail piece in their advertising that I worded and that kind of rubbed me the wrong way, but all in all I would certainly recommend them to agents who do direct mail. Sorry to hear about your bad experience with them.

I dealt mostly with Chris Weir.

I should have called him directly, but I filled in a web form asking for samples and one of their junior guys called me. I don't mind working with a junior salesperson. But I expect an "A" game from him nonetheless.

I sent two emails to him today with no response. I called and they said he was out of the office this afternoon. I'll give it until tomorrow about noon and then I'm calling to speak to one of the Weir's directly.

These guys have been around forever, my mentor (RIP) used them many years ago for LTC leads and swore by them. The problems you are having may have to do with the fact your desired FE mailing area is spoken for. Happened to me with his guy Pete Higham. Pete offered to mail for a variety of products here in Philly, but not FE.
Sorry Charlie!
p.s.- I suggest working with an IMO that has clout and existing relationships with mail houses.

So a friend viewing this thread here sent me a PM on Facebook and said I should take a look at Kramer Direct. So I did.

One of things I liked about MSPowermail was the neighborhood mapping feature. This is a feature that allows you to pull up a map that shows you not only the pinned addresses of those who responded to the mailing, but also the non-responders as well. I found this to be a wonderful feature and a terrific time-saver when I mailed FE cards because I could then cold knock the non-responders nearby the homes of the responders. Unfortunately, MSPowermail does not offer the type of mailer I am looking to do.

But guess what? Kramer offers the neighborhood mapping feature (albeit it sounds as though there is an additional cost for this feature). I think I will be contacting Kramer tomorrow to see if maybe they would be a better fit for me.

Anyone out there who has experience using kramer I'd love to hear from you.

Here is a link to the video showing the neighborhood mapping feature. Every mail house should offer this: It is a door knocker's dream.

I dealt with Wendy Braswell. She is very efficient and does what she promises. They sent me the list they mailed but unfortunately they do not use zip+4 and I can sort it in route order..

That is interesting. That means I'd have to load the list into a mapping software to route it easily. RGI used zip+4 and I have all my aged leads sorted by the full zip. I do wonder if there is a difference in response rate zip vs zip+4?

I never used Lead Concepts, but I have used Kramer Direct in the past. Wasn't overly impressed with them.

Although, its been about 7-8 years since I last used Kramer

What type of mailer did you use? FE? Turning 65? Med Supp? Annuity?
