After several requests from clients to help them with their medicare, I've finally taken the plunge to diversify into the medicare arena!

I currently working through my MA certifications. My question is why would someone consider an MA Only plan. Besides someone who doesn't take pills, can someone walk me through some of the common scenarios why someone would chose this plan over a MAPD?

-Someone with VA benefits for rx
-Someone that has never picked up a part D plan and doesn't want one

One example why a person would choose MA over MAPD is if they have VA benefits.

I am finding more and more drugs are not being covered through va. I try not to sell a plan without drug coverage.

Insgal... I'm inclined to agree. Plus, the great thing about anyone with VA benefits can have the best of both worlds. VA benefits are one of the few health benefit plans that will co-exist with an Advantage Plan, so essentially, the insured is broadening his/her choices when opting to enroll in a MAPD rather than just a MA
