I wouldn't go so far as to call it socialist because blue AND red states do it. Sadly, state insurance commissioners have an incredible amount of power over insurance producers. Very little recourse if they choose to use it against you. You can fight it with an administrative judge but it's a kangaroo court. They're required to give deference to the insurance commissioner.

Absolutely right. It happened to me 10 years ago. All related to a lead domain. Turns out it all started with an AGENT reporting me to insurance commish and consumer complaining about another agent. I had to pay to fight to win with no wrong doing. You can easily become a target if not careful. Not worth it.

And they love to target the low hanging fruit independent agents with lack of resources to hire big lawyers like ehealth

TF does that mean ..? NO WHERE in the CMS rule does it say not to use the word Medicare. Here's the gd statute direct from CMS. * Cannot state that they are from Medicare or use words or symbols, including "Medicare" in a misleading manner. For example, they cannot state that they are approved, endorsed or authorized by Medicare, are calling on behalf of Medicare, or that Medicare asked them to call or see the beneficiary.
