They are new to Georgia. Trying to get a feel for their suitability and how challenging or easy to work with.

Rates are attractive right now. Underwriting seems straight forward.

Application (E-app especially) is . . .

Paper app is 38 pages !!!!

Paper apps should be outlawed.

I hear good things and when I run up against it, those who have had it more than a couple of years are still in decent shape and there's no reason to move. I figure its another one that will go up in a few years, but who knows.

Vic had used them in the past, I'm not sure how recently. They've played the name game(this is the 3rd one). Parent company owns American Republic, Medico and Great Western.

This: Prompt and easy to read EOB.

This: Household discount for another adult.

And this: I had a (New to Medicare issued) Medico HDF from approx October 2016 to approx Mar 2021. Without looking it up, I think I had three rate increases in that period of time.

Match my consumer experience with a Medico HDF
edit:
in Kansas.
end edit.

I left the Medico plan to obtain an issue age HDF from another carrier before its book closed.

Medico is usually the more expensive in my market. I had one person try to argue with me about them because they don't charge an application fee and he really didn't want to pay it. I let that person go fast as he was penny wise, pound foolish.

They're not one of my go to's...

please don't think I am suggesting you should sell them. I am genuinely curious with this question.

With their year end marketing blitz-at least in some markets- and their recent name change and lower rates--they didn't become more competitive in your market, at least for a short period of time?

Right now killer rates on T65 (select zips)

About to find out how underwriting really works. Trial by fire on a couple of apps. They appear to take some folks that are challenging with other carriers.

Time will tell.

E-app is brutal. Looks like they got MSN to build it for them.
