Mojo + Google Voice?

I setup a google voicemail # with an area code to match each region I call, to make it more likely that they will pick up. Also prevents the inevitable flood of callbacks after you get rolling with the Mojo (they get a voicemail only number which simply states the person they are trying to reach is unavailable). I get an email with an MP3 of the voicemail and the number that they called from instantly after they call back. totally free.

Anyone else doing this?

I use magic jack as the ringback number. My concern with google voice is how unprofessional I think it is to call back and hear "Please wait while the google voice customer you're trying to reach is located" or whatever it says. Let's say you have a fantastic call with a prospect and they love you and they think you're wonderful. They have a question and instead of calling the number you gave them they call the number on the CallerID.

MagicJack will still e-mail you the voicemail along with the number it came from and it does not need to be plugged into a computer to work. It is a bit more pricey compared to free, but even at $40/area code I think it's a solid investment to be able to control everything the customer hears when they call back.

I don't think it says that unless you want it to in the options.

If it doesn't that would be a cool option. Ideally someone would have a caller ID that was local and an 800#, between those two they will pick up IF they pickup without screening all calls.

Now if Mojo could be setup to alter the CID area code based upon the number being called for those dialing in multiple area codes within the same batch of data we'd really have something...I don't see that happening though.

That was my problem with Mojo too. I had to break up my state into 6 area code groups, and log in a different number and call that specific group. I went to VYM Voip your Media, and I got three phone numbers at a time for $20, each add. line was $4, and you could choose new numbers in any area code when you wanted.

Back to mojo, and perhaps this would warrant it's own thread, but would anyone think it practical to pay $50/month plus $0.02/minute in 6 second increments to use a dialer that does not record VS mojo? I'm toying with the idea of offering a hosted dialer, but would not want to add the call recording feature. The only hang up with that would be making it profitable when my per minute cost would be most likely higher than mojo (or any other provider) and I wouldn't want to sell it @ $75-$80/month and risk actually losing money if someone is on it 8 hours/day 6 days/week. I think the odds of that actually happening are pretty low, but I'd rather take my cut up front and let folks that are only dialing a day or two a week not feel like they're overpaying when they're spending $150/month on mojo.

Not a bad idea, since I agree with you, most people don't use thier dialer fulltime. I like the lower 'seat cost' with a nominal per minute (or per hour) fee. It's not clear on your proposal how many lines you are talking about though.

I'd suggest perhaps a hybrid model, if its possible. $75 per month, you get 40 hours of dialing, then the $0.02 per minute over that. Of course, you'll have to have a value proposition over why I wouldn't just use something like callfire, but that shouldn't be hard to do.
