I was wrapping up a Monumental FE sale for some clients and she hit me with a flyer her mom gave her for United of Omaha plan that has no health questions. The rates are actually LESS than the FE quotes I've got.

Its a graded policy so I'll be able to talk her into the other $3/mo, but the rates on this thing are pretty good for guaranteed issue.

Anybody know anything about this plan? They call it Easy Way. Only goes up to $10k.

It's not graded, it's ROP +10% for the first two years for natural deaths.

It is a true GI. No questions whatsoever. it can be purchased by people in the hospital, nursing home, on hospice or whatever.

It cannot be sold by agents. It comes directly from MoO. They will go up to $20,000 even though the mailer only goes to $10,000.

It's unbeatable on price for the person that has to have GI. It being out there is the main reason I do not sell ROP plans. I give those people the number to MoO. Sometimes I have even helped them call and get signed up.

There is one medical question, "How are you going to pay for this?".

Agents are allowed to sell this but its a few bucks more expensive but instead of getting ROP plus 10% the client gets the ROP plus 20% and you get a qualified agent to service your policy :). Some clients would rather get the first option......

Do you have that phone number JD?

It is;800-801-5207.

In respons to the poster that said agents can sell it, they can't They used to be able to if they were MoO delegated agents and it was ROP +20% and they had an agent. It was the same price. I used to refer those clients to an local agent here because it was a better deal and they had an agent. MoO stopped that practice.

They probably figured that we would be ambulance chasing and setting up offices in nursing homes.....

Yep, she faxed me the brochure. Interesting product.

I still think she's better off with Monumental at another $2 more a month, just because of the immediate death benefit, but I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the pricing on that thing. It'd help the client in a lot of instances.

I guess they can save a lot of money and thus take on the additional risk without having to pay the agent hierarchy.

BTW, the number on the one I've got is: 800-610-3530

Probably get to the same place, though.

Hilarious. I have a copy from a friend whose mother received something in the mail from them and the number is 800-374-4380. That's three different phone numbers for the same product. Too funny.

They do it to see how different marketing pieces are working.
