Ok guys.. been in the business for about 9 years now. It's been several years since I've posted in this forum. I've been a Medicare Agent for about 7 of those 9 years.

I recently moved to KY to open an independent office here.. Offering Primarily Auto, Home, Life, Business... However, my heart and niche has always been Medicare. I see a huge need here in my county.. there are absolutely NO agents here.. the nearest town that actually has an agent is in Lexington, KY... I know the enrollment period is over, but My goal is to get prepared for next year.

Any KY agents out there that would be willing to point me in the right direction.. showing me where to start and informing me on some good articles/blogs/books to read.. (in addition to the CMS book I have) From what I've heard.. KY is a little different in how they handle things?

What Supplemental companies do you find to be the best for T65, and then those that are decent Supps for those needing Medical underwriting. MA or MAPD plans??

Thank you in advance for any advice!!
Jessica ;)

Let me know if you need a desk. I'm closing an office in KY. It's just 10 miles from our main office and not needed. But it has a very nice desk and return along with a small conference table and four chars. We paid over $5,000 for them and would really give them to any agent that could use them. Located in Henderson, KY. 6' wide by 8'long.

Thanks.. that's really kind.. But you're several hours away and I wouldn't have access to pick them up!

Jessica, I'll be glad to run a few quotes for you and let you know which companies you need, but I have to have zip codes. Feel free to call me on that and I can probably answer a few other questions you have as well. I can also get you access to MedicareTraining101.com

Yes that's a long way off.

Desk is available to anyone that contacts me this week. But you have to move it. It's too big for home offices unless you have a big one.

This is actually a great time of year to make a shift. I moved from Little Rock to Kansas City in December 2004 and took a couple of months to regroup and study the market. That is when I moved away from small group and individual health to Medicare.

I felt so too.. It's good to hear from you G. Gordon. I was able to learn quite a bit from you several years ago! :)
