Recommendations

Hey Group:
Licensed 2 years ago & got roped into SFG; learned a lesson and ended staying super busy with day job. Definitely want to go independent and own my book of business, but need a bit of assistance/guidance on the front side. I'm in SoCal so face to face isn't realistic; phone / virtual is what I'll need to do.

  • Insurance: Most likely FE and Medicare (I'm licenced Life/Health)
  • Leads: Going to buy leads / have a budget set aside; Planning on buying aged leads the firat week or two to cut my teeth and shake things out
  • CRM: Have a CRM w/call/text/email/automation
  • E&O: Have E&O
  • Virtual / Phone is a requirement for me
  • Training: Don't need a ton on sales techniques, but I'm new to the industry and will need just a bit of training on the product side as I get to cruising altitude
  • Commission: Looking for 100%+ commission, owning my book of business from day one, and don't want any malarkey on that front.
  • Pay: Planning on going as-earned from day one.
  • Full Time / Part Time: I understand to make it, full time is the only way forward. That said, I'll be at my current job at the beginning, but have some flexibility. To be clear, I'm not looking to get rich quick or work 10 hours a week and become a millionaire. I get it.
I'd love some recommendations that would be a good fit for the situation above. (I did look at FEXContracting and Digital BGA when I first started but it wasn't the right time/fit I don't think. My mind is open though).

Who's SFG? What's wrong with Digital Bga? It should check all your boxes of being independent and 100-110% commissions . They have leads .I'm going to be up front with you and tell you working leads with mapd which will be low income is a disaster in mapd .Your persistency will be horrid . I'd advise selling fe and coming back to the people you sell that stick on the books and try to sell them mapd .

Sure - SFG is Symmetry Financial Group - one of those "rah rah you'll be a millionaire in a year even though the commissions are low" places ;).

Digital BGA - actually liked it - I even contracted with them (didn't close anything), but was under the impression they were strictly full time. Maybe they'd be worth another look and conversation.

Leads - Yep, I've pretty much come to the conclusion that it's highly likely I'll be buying my own leads from a vendor that could very well be outside of the MO I contract with.

MAPD - I actually know nothing about it, but it sounds lucrative and if I get familiar with it now, I could take advantage of OE?
