I'm at a coffee shop right now waiting for a client. I went to a networking meeting almost a year back and ran into a network marketer slinging this product. To her credit, she kept in touch, was very professional, and never got pushy.
Anyway, I decided to do it, here's my thoughts:
Cons:
-No wet signature, insincere. I always do a b-day and anniversary card to my clients each year. I won't use the program for current clients as I think it's too insincere. I get a card from my dentist each year, he doesn't even sign it. I feel no attachment or loyalty to him, I think the card does more harm than good.
-Somewhat pricey compared to buying the cards in bulk and mailing them myself. A glossy card, with my logo uploaded, and with postage is about $1.32 total.
Pros:
-I can write a custom message on each card and brand it however I want. I can also pick out a variety of cards without having to buy in bulk.
-I can fire off a card very quickly and it stands out from all the other #10 envelopes they get every day.
-I plan to use it for dropping a note to prospects or contacts I make via cold canvassing. A simple, "we may not be a fit right now, but I'd like to keep in touch with some ideas from time to time." They'll get my newsletter and a then another card requesting a meeting in 6 months before I call.
-I'm also sending out a postcard for about .60 cents to confirm meetings set more than a week out.
Anyone else using it in their business? Thoughts? It's the only MLM program I've ever signed up for, and no, I didn't pay the $60 extra to rep it. I'll stick to selling life insurance!
