I was reading a thread, not sure if it was an old one; however, someone mentioned SureBridge. How are their rates in comparison to the products you're selling as independents?

Is this who you are talking about?
SureBridge | Affordable Supplemental Insurance
If so, maybe someone with knowledge on them will chime in.

Identical to monumental and Transamerica.

No, Chesapeake Life, Mega Life and MidWest are not affiliated with Monumental or Transamerica and are not apart of Aegon.

SureBidge is not Stonebridge. Two different companies.

Chesapeake Life is owned by the Blackstone Investor Group and the 3 insurance companies they own have a B++ Rating with AM Best. Typical for a Specialty Health Group.

Hey, sorry for resurrecting an old thread but I need to ask, do you guys know anything about Chesapeake Life, Mid West National Life and Mega Life and Health ? My client showed me her policy and asked me if it was good. I've never heard of them before and just wanted to know what you all thought of them ? I googled them and I saw a ripoff report and a class action lawsuit. Both looked a bit old and not really sure if either of them had any validity to them. Thanks guys!

Vision plan is the only plan worth while IMO. Only $9/month. This plan is essentially the same as Golden Rule's add on because it is underwritten by Chesepeake. 45% commission, even though the schedule shows less. They do not accept paper apps from independents which is annoying. Client must have an email address. They arethe independent side of Insphere. They do pay commission very fast. You can contact me if you have any specific questions.

Chesapeake Life was a decent life company with pretty good rates. I wrote them for a litle while. They became texas Life, I think? and then went out of business.

I still a few policy holders with Chesapeake. The Mega one is familiar just because of all the bad stuff I've heard about them.
