Greetings,
Has anyone with veteran experience here ever enrolled seniors via a telephonic/online application -- for example through UHC's online i-Enroll?
I am a broker at a major company, where we handle thousands of enrollments per year, and the company policy is that the potential enrollee must receive the pre-enrollment kit (Summary of Benefits, Application, Cover Letter, and if a Medigap, it must include the official CMS Buyer's Guide)? Is this an actual legal requirement under CMS? Or perhaps the various insurance carriers? Because from what I understand, one of our competitors never actually sends this material out and their brokers enroll their people in a single phone call.
Would appreciate any information or place to get resources on the subject.
Thanks.
