Hey guys, I'm a fairly new agent. Been in the business for about a month now. I've been thinking about cold calling turning 65 for Med Supps just to keep me busy and hopefully get more business. I wouldn't even know how to start the conversation on the phone. Any good scripts to follow, or any that works good for you guys?

Thanks for any info.

I did this when I first started out. As I got better I could set an appt with 1 out of 10 people that I was able to talk to. Maybe one appt per hour. Out of those I was selling 50% of those people. It's the best way to prospect IMO with no money but it took time.

What I said was, Hi Mr. Thompson, my name is Chaz Mxxxx and I see that you are turning 65 here in (best to be 4-7 months out) and what I do is help people out that are going on to Medicare for the first time. I'm sure you're getting a lot of mail from different companies (usually list off a couple, throw in aarp) and I work with all of the companies around. I can show you what part a and b cover and what options you have. Have you started looking into your options yet? They usually say, kind of or not really. Then I say, we'll I wanted to see if you were available..,,go from there

You'll get a lot of people here saying don't work the t65 crowd. But I've tried other ways and t65's work best for me. You'll have to figure out what works best for you. Hope it helps.

Thanks Chaz and carol. Very good insight. Yeah I've had people say stay away from it. But the way warm lead sites have been it can't get much worse.

I believe our beloved Frank advocated calling T68 or something like that instead.
