Has this been happening to anyone from UHC??

They chargeback commissions when the policyholder does not cancel the policy?
Just had another chargeback when the client didnt cancel the policy. He has an MAPD, got a chargeback for it. This is the 4th time this year this has happened!

Now I have to call call up UHC about it, and fight with them about it, and wait 3 weeks to get my money back...

Welcome to the HEALTH business..... Not unusual to hear.... You as an agent need to track every piece of business that you write. It is estimated by LIMRA that Health agent's have the toughest job with companies improperly paying commissions. Infact over 15% of commission is underpaid to agents in the Health Game from companies. Group, individual, MedSup/MA, LTC, it is all a problem.

An NSF can generate a chargeback and if the client redrafts with the company to correct it. A company's system will not credit the agent back. UHC is a company I have seen many times do this across all product lines.

You have to remember that insurance companies are constantly merging or buying other companies and the cross company IT merging is challenging for them and are prone to mistakes. If they are not aware of an issue, than they don't correct it.

I know as agents we say, "How can they not know this, they are a fricken giant with all the resources"..... Well we have to be responsible for our own pay. That is why you need a CRM with a Commission tracking system that allows for company auto integration or at least pull in .csv files.

There is no difference in the LIFE or P&C business, all make errors in commission. Chances are, if you write $200k in commissions in all product lines, you are loosing $30k to errors. That is a salary for someone in your office. You should have a support person in your office who has commission tracking responsibility. If you do generate enough income for an support staff, take 2 days per month to do it yourself or you will surely see RED if you don't.

Contact Relations Manager or Customer Relations Manager. It is a good Web Based client system that can input all your data for clients. Attach .pdf or photo files and go paperless.

There are many companies out there that offer it. It usually is the cheaper a plan is per month the less you can do with it.

The $19/mo plans are good for a newby, an agent with at least 2 years experience should be budgeting $59-99/mo for a decent system that can do client emails, autodrip, prospect management, sales tracking, client management, commission tracking.

If you are an agency with agents, they you can plan to spend much more for recruiting moduals, etc.

So,I called uhc. They said it was "terminated by cms". I asked what does this mean, the guy was very honest and said "I do not know"
Can someone point me in the right direction on what to do? Or what that means?

I would start by going on Medicare.gov and putting in their claim number and dob and see what it says they are currently enrolled in. It will either say Medicare A & B or UH MAPD. Then you can move forward by meeting with the client and calling Medicare or UH together and get to the bottom of it.

Ask your client if he is not collecting Social Security yet. If this is the case, then the part B premium is being billed quarterly. Could be that he did not pay quarterlies, part B was dropped and Medicare disenrolled him from the MAPD.
Happened to a client of mine but was able to re-instate the part B due to being only 5 weeks late with payment. We did have to submit a new app for the MAPD.

I'm at the stage now where I am interested in a system to help me manage sales tracking, client management, commission tracking.
Although I don't need anything for unsigned prospects as I already have a system for incoming leads from FMO

But def need a good system to help me organize and manage clients
So I begin to try to do more as far as sending Bday cards and contact at renewal time
or If a particular Med advantage is going though major changes in a particular county I can locate all those clients quickly

$59-99/mo is a fine price for me what would be the best CRM systems for what I am looking for?

There are plenty to choose. Some do Website design and CRM monthly. You need to decide on what fits your needs.

Start looking at these to name a few:

AgencyBloc
AgentMethods
Smart Office by EBIX (ez-data.com) **My Choice as it is scaleable...
AgencyEagle - Advanced (website and CRM - Pricy, but nicely done)
Impowersoft

Do a Google search for: Insurance Agency CRM + Web based
That should get you started
