VEBA-GM and Chrysler Retiree's

Has anyone heard about the VEBA plans that the GM and Chrysler hourly retirees will have? I've been getting calls from concerned retirees about them not being funded properly and that it will run out soon. I did read an article about this and it does look like the funding just isn't there.....any comments or thoughts
