Hello,
I've been bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and I've been contemplating starting my own vending machine business. I know there are tons of risks associated with the food / drink industry when it comes to third party liabilities and possibly some substantial property exposure due to machines being exposed to several elements.
I am just looking to get a feel of what kind of coverage I would be looking for on the market. I know there is the risk of food poisoning due to hygiene, property loss exposure due to vandalism of the machines and malfunction, business income interruption in case one of the machines decides to go down due to weather causes etc.
I've taken these in mind:
* Commercial General Liability = Food poisoning, machine falling down on top of client etc.
* Commercial Property = vandalism, weather damage etc.
* Business Income = equipment breakdown
* Trademark for Intellectual Property
* Environmental Insurance = damage to surrounding areas if machine were to break down etc.
Can anyone give me some pointers on specific coverage regarding these? Also any pointers on what are the most common lost control / prevention measures available? Would a BOP cover these adequately?
Thanks,
Luis
