I think the above threads will give you the answer to what you are looking for. Also, I would like to see the following...

Manage my incoming leads from lead vendors
Able to import new leads from excel
Able to manage current clients
Capable of drip messages
Possible auto dialer
Keeps all communication records, etc.
Able to distribute leads to agents based on rules

Lots of companies have thier pros and cons, RadiusBob, Leads360, Act, AgencyIQ, Zoho etc. None of them are as good as they should be, but that's just my opinion. Zoho is the best free one in my opinion for lead tracking and scheduling follow up. Free too. Agency IQ was great for real time leads and drip email marketing, but does not allow you to customize any fields. Very restrictive. $35 per month. Leads360 is very robust, but also very expensive.

Hope that helps.

Wow, thanks for that extremely informative answer. Now if you don't mind, it's time to conquer a crm :D

The real killer app that noone has a good version of is a crm with full dialer integration that has the ability to make triggered call and email rules... Like, call my client on their birthday and show me this script that says it's their birthday. Call my clients on their anniversary date for their policy for a review. Fire emails if the status of the call was "answering machine" etc.

Advanced logic rules with the dialer and email integrated.

It flatly doesn't exist. I tried to do something like this and failed because it was going to take too long to do.

If you want to integrate a dialer, look at vicidial.org and play with that. It's the one you'd want to use.

I'm also halfway convinced that the vicidial admin area and front end could be customized until it WAS the CRM, and you'd have 1 integrated software. After I tried it with sugar then saw the difficulty of full integration and saw what could be done with just the dialer, I very much wish I had done it the way I just said and customized the dialer until it worked for all functions. Only issue would be you could never upgrade the dialer to the new version after you did this.
