What Do You Drive?

I have a buddy who is selling a S550. Im considering it. I currently have an E350. Something about the added luxury makes it feel like an impending money pit. But it drives like you are on a cloud.

I sold an Audi to Carvanna yesterday. They are so easy to deal with and offered me $6,500 more than the Audi/BMW dealer did for trade in. And that’s with me buying a brand new BMW.
I don’t know how Carvanna can outbid the dealers by so much but that’s the 2nd car I have sold to them within 6-months. I highly recommend.

Buddy has a Tesla Plaid. That thing is a rocketship.

Yeah, I a strange tingling feeling now.

I was in Palo Alto a couple of days ago and it was like a high end Tesla parade. Their acceleration from from rolling highway speed is ridiculous.

But my budget is more one of the humpback versions I am sure.

My only issue with the S class is lack of center pass through from the trunk. This might be a deal breaker for some people.

All of them? It was optional on the E class.

I can live without that feature, I dont have it on mine.

Bigger body, less responsive handling, worse gas mileage.... but very luxurious. Trade offs.

My power steering pump just went out, so it seems like a sign.

I haven't seriously looked at the S class since 2019, but the absence of a rear seat pass through was a deal breaker for me. Kinda hard to fit 6' fishing rods. 🤣

MB service is a complete rape at the dealer. I have always used independent guys except for warranty work and found the pricing and service is much better.
