$10,000 ALP Weekly?

For those of you with experience, I know I am asking this question in the right place, is it truly possible to write $10,000 in ALP weekly selling ONLY FINAL EXPENSE? I've seen this claim by an IMO that shall remain nameless (and no its not EFES), and I want to know from experienced agents on this site, if they believe the claim is true and if so, how many leads and sales does that really take weekly?

Looking forward to the feedback as always!

It is not possible to do that on a weekly basis.
It is possible to maybe have a week like that once a year or so.

There is a lot of factors go into getting to the 10k ALP on a weekly basis. The most important factors are lead flow, work ethic, and sales ability. You most likely need at least 40-60 quality leads every week and work those to the max. You will l need to hire an apt setter so you can focus on selling to achieve consistent big numbers like this.

Most will not be able to produce those numbers on a consistent basis for a number of factors. Always take half of what the hype recruiters pitch and make that a reasonable goal. 5k in ap a week is very doable with the right work ethic and sales skills. I have hit over 5k a couple times back when I worked in Detroit. However, I had a great lead system, qualified and set apts (until they ran out of names to call). The best I have ever done in a week with mailers or telemarketed leads so far is 4600 in ap. However, I don't put in 50+ hours. I schedule 2-3 days each week in the field with apts mixed in with DKs. The other days is working other sales (med sup, larger term cases, paperwork, and follow up calls).

Good luck to you, with the right work ethic and good system you can achieve your goals and have a great career.

Thanks Gordon. At this point I'm about to sign on with an IMO and before I submit my contracting paperwork, I'd like to sit down and create a plan which includes my expenses such as how much i will need to spend on leads per week, weekly sales goals, monthly sales goals, etc. If you have any advice to give, please do. I want to ensure I start on the good foot!

Its so easy to get caught up in the hype of how much you can make. One week I'll have a $10k week, but I'm starting from the ground up, so I'll set realistic goals for a newbie!

Maybe start with a goal (working 4-5 days per week) of 2K AP with a $400 per week lead budget. Keep the math simple to start with and then tweak it as you go.
Hopefully your commission levels will support this (i.e. don't sign up for 55% commission!!!!)

If I start off at a 70% commission level (this is what has been mentioned to me by the IMO), and work 4-5 days per week. Have about $400/wk lead budget with about 20 leads per week, based on the average closing ratio of 25-30% that I've read about thruout the FE industry, that should equal about 6 sales. If FE sales normally average about $600ALP, that should be about $3600 weekly. If on a 70% contract, my advanced commissions for that week should be about $1890. Then I have to take into consideration $400 lead debt and maybe $100/wk in Gas. So that leaves me with about $1390 commission that week. Am I on the right track? Does this make sense? Do I need to take any other expenses into consideration? I'll have to work my butt off to get a higher commission rate! I see folks talking about 90-110% commission rates, and 70% and lead debt, is not sounding as good as I thought I would be able to get. I'm guessing its because I'm new to the game.

Those numbers are extremely generous.
Most NEW agents are lucky to close 15% of the leads.
You are also not figuring in that you are probably advanced 75% of the commission. There will also be chargebacks and not-takens.
IF you average 2000AP a week (I am also being very generous with this number), at 75% of a 70% contract = $1050.
Take away $100 for gas and $400 for leads leaves you with $550 a week BEFORE you factor in chargebacks and not-takens.

It could work, but you would be better off looking for an 85%+ contract to start with since you are planning on going in full time with this. These people will lowball you, never hurts to ask or demand more. 80-85% is not unreasonable for someone going all in with it.
I wish you the best out there!
