1st Time CE, how Long Does It Take to Complete?

Got my CE deadline coming up. Since this is the first time I have a question, how long does it really take to complete? I'm just trying to figure out if this is something I can knockout in a day or 2 or if I need to plan for 2 weeks or something.

30 minutes if you can skip right to the exams.

Aside from designation course exams, I've never seen a CE course include more than 50 questions.

Just get an unlimited CE subscription and take the ones with the largest CE credits.

In California, I take:
- 8 hour Annuity CE
- 8 hour LTC CE
- 16 hour Ethics CE

Then repeat every licensing period.

Download the PDF course on PC and then "control F" and do a word search for the answers, just search for key words in the questions.

Random questions that don't warrant their own thread. When should I do CE, and how do I know what my deadline is? And where do I get this done?

Different states will have different requirements.

For example: In California, before you sell any annuity products, you have to have your 4 or 8 hour annuity course completed. Same thing with long-term care. And an Ethics CE course is simply required before you renew your license.

So for me, I try to get all my CE done the month after I renew my license.


Your deadline for CE is generally the same as the expiration date of your license.
