Good listen, Dave and Cody! The discussion has a lot of layers to it..
* Primary reason SAM/Cody sticks with Telesales?
- He doesn't like to drive.. (2:35)
*First Call Center month(with four guys) they made 9 total sales.." (6:30)
*You need A LOT more leads - It takes a lot more time-ALOT!(11:30-11:45)
*99.5% of telesales reps will fail.."(12:13) SAM
*You need a two player model - one person to qualify another to close.." SAM
*Production; 80-100 policies per month. - "Someday if I(Call Center) can write 1-5K per mo -- great.." (20:15)
*2 openers$8hr + small bonus(21:00)
*4 closers(Hrly plus 'small' com or straight com).." (21:15)
Is Dave going to open a call center with Cody?
* Cody/Dave NEVER let door knockers in their home.
*Growing trend in FE toward digital leads(hot off the press)..(33:40)
* Duford's leaning toward favoring digital leads (34:25)
* 'Mildred' has 6-8 DM cards - saturated with reps - can not get an affordable price in certain areas Dave(37:05)
When Cody/SAM was discussing the pay structure, he had a very dismissive look toward the amount of money he's paying his 'openers' and to a lesser extent his closers. My main take away is what JD has been saying all along - the OWNERS of Telesales Call Centers ultimately are the winners who make the big $$$..
There is a trend with reps growing more and more dissatisfied with lead cost, over saturation with agents and how to shift with the times and somehow capitalize on the digital world.
99.5% will fail in Telesales. (SAM)
Without a two pronged approached probably 99.999999999999999999%(Me 1:23pm )
What do you think - is it getting disheartening going to homes where you know they have 6-8 other mailers within the same month?
