A Direct Mail Trick.

Your brain just tells you to make sure and fill in the blocks.

Even, without thinking, you do it.

Instead of using a line for the prospect to put their phone number on.

Use Blocks!

More people will put in their phone number when you use blocks instead of lines.

I've tested it both ways, and blocks is the way to go!

Thanks 4 the tip. Can u give any figures on both methods?

I can tell you that most of the cards I got back didn't have a phone number on it.

When I used the blocks, most of them did.

That's weird; Whenever I've done mailers I found that most had numbers on it, not the other way around.

Then again, it's been couple of years since I've personally done a drop, so maybe the prospects are getting more cautious of putting their number on it.

You never cease to amaze me. How do you get to sleep at night with all that kind of stuff going through your mind?

Great idea, that is something I would never have thought of.

You are correct...80%+ will write their phone number down. NEVER seen a direct mail (for FE) with the results as Mark posted.

My mind never stops. I'm always working on 100 things at once.

This is just a small trick that can really improve your mailings.

Our brains are trained to fill in the blocks.

Also, on a mailing, don't ask them if they smoke or not. You will get more back if you don't ask them. Someone else taught me this. I tried it both ways and he was right.
