AFLAC and Obamacare?

With the latest dust up where McDonald's is taking on Obamacrap over the viability of mini-meds, it got me wondering if the Duck, Colonial, Allstate and others that peddle supplemental plans will come into the crosshair's of Shebullshits and Obummer?

Our resident goat man says Med supps are not subject to MLR rules and I won't challenge him on that. But what about other supplemental plans like mini-meds, cancer plans, accident plans, etc.?

Care to guess?

AFLAC will take dependent children up to age 26 as of Sept. 23. So it did affect them in that instance.

You know reading the bill is kind of a wast since once its passed even what is fuzzy and left up to intereptation gets changed...Whos to say if the dems keep control they can't suddenly say that this law applies to "X" its what they do with the constitution all the time, reinterpret it.

HHS Shebullshits has been given 100% discretion over interpretation.

That is scary as hell

Or as our PPL guy says, scarry as hell . . .

This language is typical of the response from the carriers "Because supplemental insurance is not major medical insurance, most aspects of the reform do not apply to our policies".

As the bill currently stands as of today at this very moment in time. Supplemental Health Plans are not affected. Though as many of you have eluded, as soon as they find this out, they probably will be.
