Agent Ignorance About Being Put on the "Vector" list

I have an agent who has been just basically selling everyone he talks to in the past 4 months, and 90% of all issued business is staying on the books. So he is building a nice book and making some great money.

This is the problem he formerly sold those silly supplemental policies and the duck has come after him over for a $300.00 chargeback , heck he claims he only made $250.00 for that aflac business but yet they claim he is in debt to them for $300.00

Here is what I do not understand instead of paying them their silly 300.00 he is going to "ignore this" for a while and simply see what aflac will do...

I do not understand at all..

Re: Agent Ignorance About Being Put on the "Vector"list

He will be put on vector and he will not be able to get appointed to any other carriers until it is paid... also threy will turn him in to a collection agency and he will take a hit on his credit report. tell him to pay the $300 and forget it, if he is writing that much it should not be a big deal to put that company behind him and move on with his career. I was placed on vector for $3,500 from united american, those suppliment policies are a night mare pay it and get away from that company and make it a learning experiance. trust me!

Wrong.

He may not be able to get advances, but he can still get appointed and go as earned.

Wrong!! Some carriers will take you, but others will not appoint you until you are off vector I speak from experiance, i could not get appointed to a few carriers advances or not until my vector was paid in full.

I am livid about the crap Vector is doing to me. That stupid, down-low Cons Insur is sticking me for over 2k for flight, hotel and training that happened in 2004! Those rotten crooks told me that if I didn't stay with the agency for at least six months I'd be charged. LIE! The agency 'managers' couldn't find their rear-ends with both hands if they tried. I couldn't write a policy in the area because of the trash reputation they'd given to insurance agents. The only thing, so far, is that the mention of that scum name of the insurance co is the tip off they only they do such garbage acts against agents and that is enough to clear them of any problem of getting appointed. Let me hope.

Not always the case. I had a Vector hit and it wasn't even a legitimate one. Took me six months to straighten out.

During the time the hit was active I wasn't able to get appointed and was even terminated by one company for the hit. One other carrier switched me to as earned. I guess carriers check Vector on their current agents.

In the end I was able to get the bad info removed after a lot of headaches and six months of fighting it. After it was removed I was able to get reappointed, new appointments, and advances. However, Sentinel had stopped advancing my commissions after the hit and when it was straightened out they still wouldn't advance anymore, even though I had proof the debt wasn't valid.

It didn't matter though, I don't write Sentinel anymore anyways. Too many problems with their staff and UW issues.

Could you expand a little more on how you did this and who you talked with? I'm very interested as Vector thinks they have something on me and it is only now being brought to my attention. I need to get that off my record as it is colossally ridiculous. Thanks!

Well, at least, thus far, I've found out more about these 'people'. They turn good people into 'bad'. They smear reputations! They 'shoot first, and ask questions later'. UGLY! UGLY LIKE UGLY ON AN APE!

Vector is kind of like a credit bureau (experian, equifax, transunion). They don't create, negotiate, or have anything to do with the debt; they simply report it. The carrier or IMO goes to them and reports the debt with basic info. To fight a claim, you call Vector and tell them you want to dispute it, they will provide the steps. Show them proof that you do not owe the claim, they will go back to the carrier and require proof to counter...same basic set up as a credit bureau.

Thank You for the reply. I will do that. This 'charge' is not a commission, it is not an 'advance' of any nature. This 'charge' is like the company is telling me: "We are bastards and this is how bastards operate; good luck"!
