Don't u think $98/mo for 10k on a 73yr old Female says enough, no? Even if she's a smoker, I can beat that rate by $24.

LH mightve found them a company they can replace now though.... But ud have to be a scumbag to replace policies right?

I could be wrong but wasn't Veteran's Life the old company that Ed McMann was the pitchman for?

I think they went belly up and Stonebridge bought the remains.

I could be wrong on all of this though. The memory is the 2nd thing to go.

Pretty sure you are right. I think Stonebridge bought them back in 2007-2008ish

Sorry for not reporting back sooner! She did have term to 75, she had just converted it to 10k whole life at that outrageous price. Rate wasn't even guaranteed so it was really UL it had a 2nd year rate in the policy of 150 per month! She was healthy I easily placed her on a 15k for 95 bucks with Foresters.

I like the way you're thinking that $3 equals $36 in AP... It's no big deal to her either because she has already been paying that amount. Especially nowadays we have all these fancy quoters on our phone you can dial in the exact $$ amount for a money purchase.

Sounds silly but it adds up... I always bump people and round to the nearest $5 divisible. If the premium is $43.87 I fill out the rest of the paper work and say "Mildred I was looking at something, a lot of folks like to round to a whole number so it is easier to keep track of in your checkbook registry. If we round that to $45 even that will be easier to keep track off plus it will move your death benefit up xxxxx"

You get the picture. Nearly everyone goes for it. Check out the numbers. Let's say you write 6 policies a week and the average bump is $2.50. Let's say you do this 45 weeks out of the year. $2.50 X 12 = $30 extra in AP per policy X 6 policies a week = $180 Extra in weekly AP X 45 week year = $8,100 in additional AP per year. All by just rounding up a couple of bucks at the end of the sale.

Capture the Premium is the name of the game.
