BCBS OF IL New Bus Rates

Looking at some of my quotes from Oct, I've noticed BCBS of IL hasn't raised rates & wondering why.

Looking at some of my quotes from Oct, I've noticed BCBS of IL hasn't raised rates & wondering why.

Nor have they updated the "Outline of Coverage" for their individual plans. Still waiting on our under-staffed Illinois Dept of Insurance to approve it.

I noticed that the premiums are still the same as well..even if quoting out to March 1st. Perhaps we can thank the MLR for that. By cutting our commissions 25% to 50%, BCBS-IL reduced their overhead quite a bit.

HSCIL typically increases BCBS-Tx rates in April & October. We had our October, 2010 rate increase like clockwork.

Check the history of BCBS-IL rate increases. You'll probably see a similar pattern.
