Best Phone System?

If you're solo working from home can I suggest a Verizon prepaid. Its $50 a month no contract unlimited minutes and you can upgrade to a landline while keeping the same number. If you need a fax use any of the $5 / e-FAX services. This set ups work for me so far and its 100% mobile with my phone that has 4g wireless tethering (free). Most one man shops don't need fancy phone systems. Plus I prefer mobility.

Used Ringcentral for 2 years and it was horrible for 2 years! I just though VoIP was horrible technology
But switched to a place called Layer Four and all call quality fixed. Works like a charm.

Not sure I would recommend Layer Four though. It is hard to make changes yourself. It is not easy interface. But they will make all the changes for you.

Service is ok but I think the company is just getting going. I will hang with them and hope they make some changes to the interface and get a mobile version.

With Ringcentral we only used our computers. I wonder if that was the problem but they kept telling me it makes no difference.

With Layer Four we went to Cisco phones and as I said quality is perfect.
