Better Save Up for AEP

thank goodness for this!

I hated getting 1009'd for a full year commission for the FOLLOWING year.

that really sucked

Huh? Sorry I missed that. You get 1099'd for the year you make the money. So if they delay our commissions until 2015 then we get a 1099 in 2016. So they delay our commissions and we delay our taxes. I would just as soon have my commissions in 2014 vs 2015.

That's not what socialism means. However, I agree. Public supported and subsidized businesses should not continue.

You should look up the definition of socialism. What you're talking about really is crony capitalism where the government picks winners and losers.

Rick

Could be considered a light form of facism as well.

Isn't socialism almost the same thing? While you can opt out of Medicare, there are no viable alternatives.

It's ok though. The country is doomed. Can't survive without people paying into the system. I never knew Atlas Shrugged was non-fiction.

Careful or they may start paying part of your commissions to the guys who can't survive AEP without advanced pay. Just want to make sure things are fair and equitable.

Yes, the country is doomed, we have all been screwed by the administrations of the past 50 years not just the current admin. Left, right, middle, center, its all the same, 2 heads working for the same goal, global control and manipulation. The economy is gonna crash again, this time more than likely the market will take a harder beating than before. Derivatives will be the downfall tied to the fiat money system. All we can really do is ride the wave and hope for the best. When it happens it will command a global monetary reset, bye bye being number one America, just brace for it, globalism sucks and we can thank our liar politicians for most of it.

By they way Rick, do you recommend Frank Stananskys' (sorry if I butchered the last name) medicare selling system? I noticed you sell it. Is it pretty good?

It seems like there are a lot of communists on this site.
Do you really like the amount of control CMS has over your commissions?
I'll point it out again, the commissions were going to be over $600 at one point and CMS balked. You do know that commissions for 2015 are getting cut to $510 from $532 in 2014, don't you?
And as far as advance commissions, here's how I view it:
You pay for leads up front, then you have to get a sale.
Without advancing, you'd have to have 6 to 9 months of lead money until the "as earned" equalized the expenses laid out.
Advancing only helps with the cycle: leads, sales, commission, repeat.
CMS does not want sales of MA because it hurts their organization - the more MA sold, the less CMS personnel you need. So the easiest way to slow down the sales is to monkey with the commission and the cash flow of the agent.
Heck, CMS was even toying with the idea of doing the sales of all products themselves - MA, Medigap, PDP - probably so they could steer recipients into Medigap.
Big government isn't good.
And as for those complaining about the way the country is going - yes, you are right. And it hasn't been 50 years, it's been 75 years - when deficit spending was first introduced. The CBO recently came out with a report that in 25 years we can all put our heads between our knees and kiss our collective asses goodbye.
So to all you idiots that voted for people who have continued the deficit spending ($8.5 trillion in the last 6 years) you need to apologize to the rest of us who wanted more fiscally responsible people in office. Keep voting for Obama, Reid, Pelosi and we are all doomed...

CMS didn't balk at the $600 commisions. Humana did. Humana bought and paid for lower agent commissions and they also bought the MIPPA restrictions on independent agents.

You will note that most of those restrictions to not apply to their captive work force. Only the independents that can show people other plans were affected by most of the Humana restrictions.

There was even a letter from Humana to the heads of CMS about those commissions posted here in the summer of 2008.

It was taken down, I can only guess because Humana raised a stink about it? But it was here for short time.

It seems agents are willing to give Humana and UHC a pass on their involvement and just blame it on CMS.
