The new Settlers Underwriting Guode lays out the comapnies that are considered intrnl replacements and therefore oare not allowed.. Some I can understand as they amy be companies NGL has aquired but Lincoln Heritage??? What is thier relationship with LH??? :frown:

"Internal Replacements are not allowed. Policies placed with the following companies would be considered internal replacements and therefore not allowed: Allnation, Central American/Ashley, Citizens Life Security, Commercial Travelers, CSL (United Liberty), Fort Dearborn, Kentucky Home Mutual, Key Life, Lincoln Heritage, Madison National, Milwaukee Life, National Guardian Life Insurance Company, NGL American, Protected Home Mutual, Trustmark, United Wisconsin, and Western Catholic Union."

So instead of them getting/retaining the business, they are forcing agents to write a competitor.

Good Lord the home office people at some of these carriers are so dumb it's nuts.

I believe most of these folks believe, truly believe, that all agents are captive to one company. So Settlers folks think that if an agent writes Settlers, he or she only writes Settlers. It is the only way to explain it.

But more to Rouse's point, what is the relationship between Settlers and Lincoln Heritage?

Not only is LH on there, but Madison National and Trustmark? I don't understand what their relationship with these companies would be.

Either way, yes, the powers that be at Settlers have really started to prove they are clueless. I mean, Steve Bontell has been showing that he is truly ignorant of the FE market for a while, but this involves more than him.

According to this page, NGL has purchased or administers policies from those companies. In the case of kentcuky Home Mutual, they owned them at one time. However, LH is notwhere to be found on the page.

This is what I was saying recently that I have come to learn what Settler's means by "Partner". What they really want is a marriage where you don't cheat. When they deem you don't give them enough attention they want a divorce. In other words, it's pretty much a one sided relationship. They want Yes Men.

Perhpas that is why they say they have 8000 agents but yet in any given month they only have about 30 that do over $5K...

It may be. To back up what I'm saying about him, just watch Bontellivision and you'll see to. It's a very poor attempt by him to try and teach agents something. He has no business doing that. He doesn't even understand the business much less know how to sell something.

Are you missing them yet???
