Got this email and attachment. It's good to see insurance companies coming up with creative ways to keep agents in business. I'd expect to see more positive changes from other carriers now that they got their hands around PPACA (big assumption)

Cigna is pleased to announce an all new commission structure for new business in Florida .
On Cigna Medical Plans with effective dates of 6/1/2012 and later:
- Commissions will now be paid on a per-member basis
- You will be paid in advance on all new business(based on the size of your book of business)
- There are separate commission rates for North Florida & South Florida (see breakout by county on updated Commission Schedule) as well as for Subscriber/Spouse and Dependent Children
- Commission amount will be determined by plan, with plans fitting into 1 of 3 tiers
- There is no change to commissions on business sold prior to 6/1/2012
