Thanks for your reply. I suppose it's a chicken and egg thing. If a man isn't even aware "marketing money" is available if he jumps high enough . . . . . I know marketing money was a thing with the NY based life companies, where a very modest level of production would trigger a significant increase in effective first-year commission (retro to the first sale), yet never once have I heard it mentioned in the context of MA or PDP plans until this thread, and was selling this stuff from the beginning back in the fall of 2005.

Yeah, it's been a thing for a few years now. I personally wish they wouldn't do it, but if you're in the game, you have to play the game.

And by the way, unless you are one of their top producers, the FMO won't just come to you with money. You should be asking for it.

The numbers on this thread about how much FMOs are making is completely untrue, FMOs are not making more than you on the business you write. And if you're not receiving support from your FMO, you're partnered with the wrong FMO.

Sounds like something someone who works at an FMO would say :)

No, we're not 4-5 levels down and yes, we do quite a bit of MAPD. No matter that you got them from CMS, they are still wrong. Show me what you're talking about. Give me a link please.

They might be wrong but that's what they put. Again at the top level of integrity and if that do 500k to 1 million plans a yr there's all kinds of extra money floating around . Lol you hated mapd a few yrs ago and did little busi ness . You jumped in the game like 100k other agents . Fmo's are not needed in mapd. They do nothing . In fe there needed to buffer chargebacks . They take a risk for their override . They take little risk in mapd .

I am one but in MI. If you're in another state I might be able to recommend someone else...
I am also in Mi (also soon to be Fla). From day one been getting marketing money. cash and co op

Straight dollars came directly from Humana into my account. Also straight dollars from Aetna early on (not into my account, but through FMO to use as I please without co-op). I didn't ask, they contacted me after I proved myself a bit. Once they asked me, I wasn't going to object. oh yah, please do make a direct deposit.

Just got offered another $5000 up to for co-op from my FMO which has been offering since day one, now more. I know a few are getting enough to run radio commercials and a few tv commercials. There's definitely money flowing....

it definitely helped get my training wheels off. Now I don't really need it.

I was thinking about Scotts T65 though, I might start that but not sure I need it right now. Busy more than I wanna be at the moment. Maybe 1st of year I'll think about starting the Scott T65 special mailers.

Thats bs . I know several high vol Medicare fmo's . Going rate fyc override $250-$275 . Renewal about $12.50-$15 a month override . Marketing money I know some fmo's getting $150-$200 an app .Soft money About $100 an app depending . We're talking the super high vol fmo's .

We've been doing MAPD since 2006 when they came out. I never hated it, but I do hate when agents try to stuff everyone into it.
