Compulife is Free!

Tomorrow I am delivering a policy to a client that called me after he ran quotes on www.term4sale.com. The call was to ask me to take an application with Genworth. I did not argue! The commission is "only" about $450 but that just paid me for 3 years of Compulife.

This is the 2nd policy I wrote in the past 7 months because as a subscriber I have a free listing on term4sale. I have added other zip codes at a small fee (and I mean SMALL).

I am not completely sure about this but I believe I have written about 6 policies over the past 4 years.

For anyone who thinks Compulife costs too much, you are very mistaken. I have made much more money than I can ever spend in annual subscription fees.

(Small plug - you can add Compulife to your website at a 50% discount by being a member of the iliia.org).

I hear only good things from agents that have Compulife and love this feature.

This is a somewhat misleading thread title.

If Compulife is "free" then...

Health internet leads are free... if you close enough of them

Your annuity direct-mail program is free if you bring in enough premium.

A financial planning seminar "program" is free if you get enough AUM.

Your insurance license is free if you write one or two policies.

The only thing on this board that is free... is advice... and it is usually worth what it costs.

YMMV.

Count on Al to pee on a good thing.

It is understandable that Al would find Compulife worthless, he sells so darn little insurance. It would be the same as buying a hand gun, he would never need it or use it.

On another note, thanks to Rick for the kind remarks.

You are completely correct Al. I don't see my license as an expense if I can earn 6 figures because of it. A direct mail program is "free" is I make more than I spend.

Unfortunately, you look at every nickle you invest in yourself and your business as an expense. Investments that generate a profit are not an expense.

Perhaps I should have titled this "I make more from Compulife than I spend" but that would be way too long.

If I didn't explain what I mean by "free" then you would have a reason to bitch. But as usual, you just bitch.

But it would be way more accurate.

Call it what you want, but no matter how long you shill for Mr. Barney (after all, that WAS the point of starting this thread, was it not?) and no matter how you want to spin it, Compulife is NOT free.

You know it, I know it, Mr. Barney knows it, and only the most naive newbie agent is going to be fooled by this rather poor attempt at misleading advertising.

In addition, what you call "free," some would call overpriced. And as much as you doth protest, those who might have that opinion are allowed to express that opinion here, unless of course Mr. Barney makes a deal with the list owner whereby only positive things can be said about anything Mr. Barney sells... and/or endorsed by Rick and the ILIAA.

Given the amount of recruiting, overt advertising, covert shilling and out and out pimping that goes on in this venue (outside of the "offers" section,) I would not be surprised to see Jesus Christ log on here and tout some software, dialer, training course, seminar program, lead service, or above-street contract!

What I find interesting is that Rick is usually the first to jump on someone who comes into the venue pimping something. Yet here he is wearing the big hat and feather

for Mr. Barney.

Well, as the kids say... [this] is what it is.
